Thanks to everyone who came out to see Tiger Army on their last run
through the U.S.! The tour was a lot of fun, especially Halloween ("Night
of the Ghost Tigers") which was truly a night to remember! The
band is getting ready to go to Germany next week for a short tour which
will include an appearance at the 10th Satanic Stomp psychobilly fest!

The German shows are Tiger Army's last planned shows for the year. Other

a break from the road to write and rehearse in preparation for entering
the studio early next year to begin work on a brand new full-length
album!

"Night of the Ghost Tigers" is coming! If you live in Southern
California, you won't want to miss Tiger Army live on Halloween night
headlining the House of Blues in Hollywood!!! Psychobilly takes over
the Sunset Strip on Thursday, October 31st in a special record release
show for the Early Years EP (in stores October 8th)! Also appearing
will be Blazing Haley and Seattle's Graveyard Shift. Tickets go on sale
on Saturday, August 31st and will be available thru Ticketmaster. For
more info, check out the Gigs section. This
will most likely be Tiger Army's last appearance anywhere in Southern
California until next year, don't miss out!!!
The
frontpage biography has been updated -- check it out if you're interested.
The
Gigs section is being continually updated
with info about the fall tour. October 3 thru 24 Tiger Army is on tour
with The Damned in the U.S. and Canada. October 25 thru November 3rd
Tiger Army plays various headlining shows on the West Coast. Just announced:
Las Vegas, Hollywood, Chico and Petaluma, CA -- a few more dates are
still on the way. The October/early November dates will be the last
U.S. Tiger Army shows until the next album is recorded and released
next year...
Speaking
of which, what's happening with the next full-length album of new material?
The band will practice several times a week throughout September to
work out some new songs that Nick 13's been writing since the last record's
release. After touring the U.S. and Germany this fall, the band arrives
home again in late November, when pre-production work on the album will
resume and all shows will cease. There's no date set yet to enter the
studio, but it'll probably be around the beginning of the new year sometime.
After that, a few months recording, a few more for the album to come
out and you should have a new Tiger Army disc (tentatively titled Tiger
Army III, for now at least) to listen to!
Much
of the news from the last item is still current, so give that a glance
if you haven't yet. More updates on the way, check back soon!

note: the first pressing of the EP will be on Clear vinyl, limited to

Tiger Army's back safe and sound from their stint
on this year's Warped Tour. Alas, the band's van died in the line of
duty and is no more, but it did make it to the last show. Hello to everyone
we met -- all the bands, fans and people who worked the tour, it was
a great time in spite of the sun!
That's it for now, but check back soon -- more info

came out to the shows, it was good to see you all!
Immediately after the mini-tour Nick 13 entered the
studio with engineer Andy Ernst and is now happy to report that the
material for Tiger Army's forthcoming release The Early Years
EP has been remixed and remastered. The EP will be six songs in length
and feature only out-of-print or unreleased material from the band's
first recording sessions in 1996 & 1997. It will be issued on both CD-EP
and 10" vinyl. The following info is subject to change, but it's looking
like it should be out this October!
Check out the updated Gigs
page to see info on Tiger Army's pre-Warped Tour shows! Before arriving
in Milwaukee (where they start their stint on Warped) the band will
play headlining shows in Salt Lake City, UT, Casper, WY and Omaha, NE!
Nick 13 makes a guest appearance
on the newly released album from legendary German psychos Mad Sin, entitled
Survival of the Sickest. His vocals can be heard on the album's first
track, "Communication Breakdown." The vocals for the song were recorded
in East Berlin when Tiger Army played in Europe last January. Check
it out!
That's it for now, check
back soon for more news and we'll see you at the Hootenanny shows this
weekend!

The band's back from another tour safe and sound... Geoff's feeling
much better and all the shows from San Diego 'til the end of the tour
went well. There's a ton of news about upcoming shows this time, so
read on!
Tickets
are now on sale for the Tiger Army headlining show at the Galaxy Theatre
in Santa Ana for May 30th, the night before the Wrecker's Ball begins!
The band plans an extra-long set for this one since there'll be no limit
on set time. Due to the band's touring schedule, the next headlining
show in the LA/OC area won't be until the end of summer at the earliest,
so don't miss this one! Those attending should definitely look into
getting tickets in advance, as this show is very likely to sell out!
More info can be found at the Gigs section...
Tiger
Army will play a seven show mini-tour from June 7th-14th that hits the
following cities in California: Petaluma, Chico, Sacramento, Goleta,
Lancaster and San Luis Obisbo, as well as Reno, Nevada! Some info has
been posted at the Gigs section, more will
be up shortly...
Tiger
Army has been confirmed to play at Krazy Fest 5! This annual Louisville,
KY hardcore/punk festival happens towards the end of June. Tiger Army
will play on the night of Saturday, June 22nd right before AFI. Information
on this show is now posted in the Gigs section
as well.
Also
in the Gigs section at long last, the cities
and venues for the 2002 Warped Tour shows that Tiger Army is playing!
There's been a lot of confusion about this so check it out -- Tiger
Army is not playing the whole tour, just one leg of it (approximately
two weeks in length). This is what the band was offered -- what cities
the band plays or does not play for Warped doesn't reflect any kind
of preference, Tiger Army likes to gig (almost) everywhere! Keep an
eye out for headlining gigs to be added to the site soon for the time
period in July when the band will be heading towards Milwaukee!
That's
it for now, thanks to everyone who showed their support on the tour
with Reverend Horton Heat! Check back for more news soon & we'll
see you in the wrecking pit in Orange County! Stay Psycho!

Geoff became extremely ill after the show in Denver. The band's
appearances in Salt Lake City and Las Vegas were canceled as a result. Tuesday's
show in Scottsdale, AZ is being canceled as well. The band sends
its apologies... Tiger Army will rejoin the RHH tour on Wednesday in
San Diego -- all dates from San Diego forward are still on. No
further problems are anticipated, but if there are any additional changes
they will be posted immediately in the Gigs
section. Thanks for your understanding and support... a make-up
show for SLC is in the process of being booked to occur within the next
few months. No word yet on the other two cities.

A new Tiger Army headlining show announced for the end of May in Orange
County! Tiger Army will headline the Galaxy Theater in Santa Ana, CA
on Thursday, May 30th. This all ages show is not part of the Wrecker's
Ball psychobilly festival, but will happen at the same venue the night
before it begins. So if the upcoming opening sets with Reverend Horton
Heat in SoCal aren't enough for you or you just want to start the wrecking
early, come on down! Tickets will be on sale soon and picking them up
in advance is highly recommended -- this show will be sold out by the
night it happens. More info will be available soon at the Gigs section of this site.
The possible

Horton Heat and Nashville Pussy begins on April 10th. It is likely that

There's
a lot of news to report on since the last update! Before we get into
the older news, make sure you check out the newly updated Gigs section! Tiger Army will be on tour with Reverend
Horton Heat & Nashville Pussy from early April through early May!
The tour will include some long-overdue gigs in the Lone Star state,
with 6 shows in Texas! Tiger Army will headline shows in Havasu, AZ
and El Paso, TX as the band makes its way to Corpus Christi to begin
the RHH tour. The tour winds through Texas, Colorado, Utah, Nevada,
Arizona, California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Minnesota before
ending in Chicago, IL.
With that
covered, we'll fill you in on what's been happening in the last month
or so... The band has returned home safely from the now-completed "Punks
vs. Psychos" U.S. tour with Nekromantix and Distillers which ended triumphantly
with sold out shows at Pomona's Glass House, The Palace in Hollywood
and the Great American Music Hall in SF! The tour hit a brief snag on
the East Coast when cold weather and sickness since the European tour
finally took its toll and Nick 13 lost his voice completely, resulting
in the cancellation of the band's appearances in NYC and Philadelphia,
but with a few days rest he and his voice were back at full strength
and Tiger Army rejoined the tour with no problems.
In an unrelated
matter, the Pittsburgh show was canceled by the promoter when the evening's
headliner Sick Of It All was forced to end their tour early due to a
family emergency. Apologies to anyone who traveled or was otherwise
inconvenienced or disappointed by any of these events. This site's webmaster
was out of the country at the time making a news or e-mail update impossible,
but a second webpage administrator has been added to prevent this kind
of situation from happening in the future. The good news is that the
25 shows that did happen were great, many thanks to everyone who came
out and supported the tour!
Tiger Army
will be playing about 12 shows on the Warped Tour this summer, some
of these shows will be cities/states that the band is playing for the
first time! More info on exact dates and locations to come...
Tiger Army
plans to release a CD-EP on Hellcat Records sometime this year entitled
"The Early Years." The release will be approximately 5 songs in length
and include tracks from the long out-of-print first vinyl e.p. as well
as some unreleased material, all recorded in 1996 and '97. Nick 13 will
work on remixing the material and artwork after returning home from
the Reverend tour. No word on a possible release date yet.
That's
all for now, look at the Gigs section for Tiger Army on tour and we'll see
you soon! Thanks to all who continue to stay true and support the band
in the face of all the back-stabbers, traitors and trash talkers! Tiger
Army is, always has been and always will be a psychobilly band! TxAxNxDx!!!

There have
been some important changes to the upcoming U.S. tour, get all the details
from the newly updated Gigs section! What
was originally the "Punks vs. Psychos" tour will now be a Tiger Army/Nekromantix
tour, with fellow Hellcat artists The Distillers joining the tour for
its second half. Lars Frederiksen & The Bastards will not be playing
due to the fact that Lars must undergo surgery for a serious back condition
(our best wishes for a speedy recovery go out to him!). The U.S. Bombs
will not be playing as was previously announced on the Hellcat site.
As a result
of these changes to the tour: certain shows have been moved to smaller
venues in the same city, shows in a few cities have been canceled outright
by promoters and shows in new cities that were booked to replace canceled
gigs or were otherwise recently confirmed are being announced now for
the first time. Many of dates and clubs remain the same. Again, the
Gigs section of this site has the definitive listing
of all shows, venues and lineups for the tour, so check it out for the
final word on where and when to see it! Thanks for your support through
all the confusion, we're not going to let it hold us back!
The band's
first visit to the UK & Europe with Dropkick Murphys was a resounding
success! Tiger Army played its first gigs in Germany, Holland, Belgium,
England, Scotland and N. Ireland. Many thanks for the warm reception
and a big hello to everyone we met, all the psychos, everyone who helped
us out (you know who you are) and those who traveled long distances
to catch the gigs. The band hopes to return soon!
Hellcat's
Give 'Em The Boot III compilation comes out Tuesday, February
12th... It contains not only the Tiger Army track "Power of Moonlite"
from the latest album, but also a CD-ROM version of the video for "Cupid's
Victim" that you can play on your computer! With songs from a lot of
great bands and a super low price, it's well worth picking up...
That's
all the news for now, check back soon for more and we'll see you at
the shows!
